Cutie

I'm so sleepy but I just wanted to share this billboard I saw in Shibuya, Tokyo at the Shibuya Station.
Alin alin alin ang naiba...ang cute!
I dunno what it is but the cute doggie reminds me of our oldest dog in Laguna, Tanuki. :) Exactly how this doggy looks.

Hopefully, we can also have our own dog when we live in a house that's gated and roomy so my kids can enjoy having pets. They say it helps kids become more social, responsible and active.

Sweet dreams!

Gonpachi

One of the most memorable dinners we had in Japan would be in Gonpachi.

It was where the fight scene between Uma Thurman and the Japanese School girl was.

Black and White Love Affair

I cannot live without white, black, gray and brown in my wardrobe. Most of it actually is. Then the little hints of color here and there, with some selected pieces of prints on days I think I'm crazy. hehe.

I'm too tamad to go back to my tumblr account although since I have a gazillion pictures and "editing to do's" for those artsy shots. Maybe next month. hahaha. Procrastinator...not good.

Konichiwa!

I. am. so. fat. ekkkkkkk!!!!!

Being busy with work, traveling and eating every minute in very cold weather has gained me so many pounds. I haven't weighed in but I can feel it. Naku....GYM here I come na talaga. hehehe

Japanese food in Japan is obviously the best - syempre!

Our set lunch near the Japan office! Y1,000, around 500 pesos, not bad at all!
I ate everything except the green pickled things. Best yogurt, salmon, best everything!

Yun lang, amoy ulam ka paglabas mo. Around 2 degrees outside, heated inside so ulam smell will stick to your thick winter garb. Pero it was all good!

More posts this week. Will spend the rest of this weekend with my kids. :)

Plaid and plaid

I've suddenly had the liking for plaid as in my recent post from Nava/Babo.

I love the store selection, prices and the staff are very friendly.

Coincurse and Cong-resman

To my one and only.

I won't be here on V-day and our 9th year.

So I want to tell you why I love you despite the trials we have:

1. You make me laugh and many times you were just being you (hehe)
2. You've become more patient with the kids, now even much more patient than me (o yan, I admitted na)
3. You always make me feel that I am beautiful even if at my worst hair and allergy days

Whenever I see a COINPURSE I think of you. That's why I always carry one in my bag.
When I watch the news and see politicians, I tend to snort and people around me think I'm crazy just because the reporter said CONGRESSMAN.

You know what I'm talking about.

I love you bebe ko!

Beanie Babies

My kids, I love them to bits.

Sporting beanie hats last New Year.

Yan-yan + Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber, my daughter loves your songs.

Because of you, I'm in deep trouble if she realizes I might not be able to take her to your concert. hehehe

Her version of Baby Baby with dance moves:

Nava Loot!

I figured I needed tops for the office that can go from dressy to casual.

What I haven't had in my closet are plaids so when I got to Nava, I was so happy to see an assortment of patterned tops.

Everything I got was below 400! They're on SALE.

I was too lazy to wear and take pics hehe.

Puffed sleeved button down long sleeved plaid top

4ur eyes only

Ate Eli has been with me since I was pregnant with my daughter. She went away to the province for family but came back 2 years ago.

I have never had a problem with her as a yaya, except that she's really just too generous and kind to her relatives that sometimes, nacoconflict ang schedules namin. But she's kindhearted and my right hand.

She does all the major tasks in the house that I don't need to follow-up. Ako actually ang fina-follow-up niya.

I go to work and home without having to worry much. She cooks REALLY WELL and the way we like it.

Basta I treat her as family.

Comedy nga lang si Yaya Eli.

What do you think this means?
I have an electronic label maker. I thought I was the only one who knew how to use it. Until the hubby and I went home one day and stopped by the doorbell seeing the label: "4ur eyes only" on the doorbell plate.

We enter.

Me: Ate Eli, ano yung nasa doorbell?
Ate Eli: Eh papano kasi, yung bagong lipat sa tapat natin, yung mga bata, pinaglalaruan ang doorbell, nagigising si Peyton. Ilang beses nila ginagawa sa isang araw. One week na ganyan.

Me: Ah talaga? (Eh anong kinalaman nung sticker...) Eh bakit di mo sabihin sa guard?
Ate Eli: Kasi di ko mahuli eh, pag bukas ko, nagtakbuhan na sila sa loob. Baka mag-deny (hehehe, may point nga naman siya)

Hubby: Eh bakit may sticker? Dinikit ba nila yon?
Ate Eli: Hindi, ako ang nagdikit.
Me: ...

Hubby: Bakit?
Ate Eli: Eh kasi diba, Fur yur eyes on-li, para di sila mag-doorbell, tignan lang dapat
Me: WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

4ur eyes only nga naman. Just look, don't touch!

Yan-yan Bendita

Seriously, mahilig mac-acting ang Yan-yan ko. AS-IN!

She even cried when I told her that she cannot join Star Circle quest because she was under 5. She approached me one day and told me that she wants to join because she saw it on tv (me: Faints!).

She likes to be a contrabida more than a bida! hahaha. I'm scared.

At the end of this video, she was actually going to pull my hair, syempre, in character nga naman! wahaha

Ayokong maging stage mother.

Nava

Went out today to meet good friends and also to buy my work essentials in Greenhills.

I was able to buy 2 pairs of thermal underwear (top and leggings) for only 480 each! Not bad! Was 550 but I haggled hahaha.

I bought a black and skin tone pair. It's just like a regular long sleeved top and leggings only thick and padded. I don't want to freeze when I travel to cold countries. So uncomfortable and I won't be able to think straight.

I also shopped around for tops for work. Scored a good and inexpensive loot.

I was also able to finally get my flat boots. :) Yey!

Laugh Trip Babies

Fun times!

I love my cuties!

Ate and Bunso

My little ones are now enjoying playtime together!

my cuties!

At this stage, they can keep each other occupied. Ate loves the bunso to bits! She kisses and hugs him a lot and he pulls her hair and muches on her face back, hehehe.

Gigil and Annoyed hehe

Happy 8th month birthday my little prince

You have now 3 visible teeth and sobrang daldal

You put everything in your mouth

You make funny sounds and faces
Everything around you are toys, you enjoy the packaging more than the toys inside hehe
We love you baby boy! :) You and your ate bring us so much happiness

I'm in trouble!

Naku, Justin Bieber will come to Manila!

My 4-year-old daughter is a HUGE fan. She plays the CD over and over.

I said, "Okay lang, she won't know naman."

Then, kanina, she told me, "Mommy, I want to watch Justin Bieber!"

Me: Ok, you can watch him on TV
Yan-Yan: NO!!!! My classmate said he will come to see us
Me: That's not true (gulp...white lie)
Yan-Yan: PLEASE!!!! He has a concort
Me: A what? you mean concert!
Yan-Yan: Yes, like Dora show in the glorietta (took her once before in glorietta)
Me: Ah, if mommy is not busy (which really means if mommy has extra money to buy tickets)
Yan-Yan: Mommy PLEASE!!!
Me: But you're still a baby anak, they don't allow babies in concerts
Yan-Yan: But my classmate said her mom and her will watch it and she's a baby like me

Patay.

Realization: Nagchichismisan na tungkol sa gimiks ang mga 4-year-old? Pahamak na classmate yan. Kainis.

Ang mahal ng tickets! Sus maryosep.

Dear Ms. Tina

Dear Ms. Tina Tagle,

I LOVE your blog to bits!

It has been a great "story book" before I sleep. I read through your blog from the first post onwards.

So amusing and educational. haha.

I hope one day I can be as cool a mom as you when my kids are bigger.

I admire your wittiness amidst your trials and the fact that you are so "raw" (as per your description) with your writing just gives your blog so much character.

Your bag and fashion collection is to drool after.

But what I really like most is your stories about your interaction and thoughts when you deal with your kids, funny all the time. I take mental notes on how I should handle situations like that in the future.

I'm not rich like you, I'm just an average person living within the restrictions of my means, but what's important is we're all happy and have the same great outlook in life.

I love that despite your status in life, you show your readers that wherever you are in life, everyone has ups and downs, little hang-ups and quirky moments. You are so real.

I shared your blog and sent to all my female friends at the office. They all like it!

I look forward to every blog entry from you. You are on my top 3 daily viewed blogs apart from Chuvaness and Daphne's Blog.

Thanks for inspiring us.

http://tinatagle.blogspot.com

PS
I giggle and sometimes even laugh out loud when I read your funny entries. My kids get weirded out so I also try not to read as much when I'm at the office because I cannot humiliate myself any further there haha.

Fasyon

I don't spend most of my days in the poshest parts of the metro. Simple lang ako, masaya na ko sa Glorietta and Shang-mall Plaza with my kids with me. I only go to Megamall if field visit from the office to the stores or Forever 21 because I can't stand on how super crowded (unless I'm alone and not with the kiddies) although, anything and everything, you can get there na.

Going to the topic at hand, I dress casually on weekends but really do try to dress-up as much as I can during work because It's the only avenue I can dress-up without getting the "ano-tong-suot-nito-feeling-artista/fashionista" stare.

Which reminds me, I will document my fasyon office mates soon! :) hehe

So If I dress-up like the pictures below on a normal day while in a mall, while shopping. I really think I would get "the stare" and I don't like attention like that. I just want to mind my own business. Magtall boots ka nga lang dito, "issue" na unless modelesque ka. Hay...

Buti pa sa ibang countries no? They can get away with whatever!

ITALY, PARIS, etc (via The Sartorialist)

So chic but if you were wearing it in a regular mall, THE STARES!
Ang hipster! But in a normal setting here, they'll think you've got no money you had to borrow pants hehe
I like! If I ride a bike to work, in a typical setting here, nabunggo na ko ng bus pero at least maganda outfit ko hehe
I love my country. But sometimes crowds are really so divided among areas, views and opinions about what you wear or project is so strong, you can't help but rethink your fashion options. I admire my friends who are so daring with fashion.

Isa pa, when I guy here becomes so fashionable in his choices, most people automatically dub them as: BEKI YAN! But I think that's not fair. Why can't men be fashionably daring? My hubby hates it when I suggest some pieces of clothing or shoes na "masyado daw fashionable" meaning, hindi daw pang straight guy. Whatever.

I keep it simple as much as I can para walang gulo. :)

PS
Forever 21 in Makati Soon! April daw. Addiction.

Mga Ibon at Bubuyog

My daughter asks me the strangest questions and I always get amused with her reactions.

Yan-Yan: Mommy, did you get married with Daddy?
Me: Yes anak

Yan-Yan: Are you in love with him?
Me: Yes baby

Yan-Yan: When you kissed did you have a baby in your tummy and lived happily ever after?
Me: ...

Yan-Yan: Mommy! I was asking you!
Me: (OMG, is this the birds and the bees question?!! If I say yes baka naman she'll assume when she kisses a guy later she'll get pregnant!) When mommy and daddy met, we fell in love, got married and then later we had a baby princess named Yan-yan then after 4 years we had a baby prince named Peyton and are still living happily ever after.

Yan-Yan: ...

So moral of the story, explain really long until your 4-year-old just gets impatient and forgets about her question. hehe

Kuripot San

Looks like our office trip to Japan will push through. 4 days of learning the buying process for my brand's next line-up and update on collections would be exciting!

At the same time I'll miss my kids. I have rarely (one occasion only for an overnight stay for a team building session) not slept beside them. Laging parang may kulang and I can't seem to sleep properly.Nakakamiss also the milky scent of my 2 kids. :(

Until my colleague and I googled stuff in lieu of the trip and we found out winter! OMG.

First, I don't have any winter clothes except for my 2 trench/pea coats, a couple of thick leggings and tights and my scarves. YIKES.

Sabi ko, I'll buy the stuff if super sure (meaning na-book na ang tickets).

Mahirap na, where will I use the stuff? Here? sus, baka I might die of heat stroke.

Anyhoo, here are the things they said we should have:

1. Pairs of thermal top and bottoms - mahirap na daw maging ice cube, 550 a set in Greenhills
2. Boots (preferably flat and long) - having a hard time finding these. Ang mahal sa Aldo, nakakaguilty magspend ng over 3k sa shoes sa dami ng gastos...kainis
3. Thick coat - My friends offered to lend me a jacket or two, if I go on a spending rampage again, I might actually just buy one. hehe
4. Long sleeved tops - I have these thanks to Forever 21, pero ang nipis ng fabric nila. :(
5. A pair of gloves - sa Greenhills daw
6. Scarves - I have lots so this is good unless I see something nice but mura

Tapos my luggage is so busted so I need to buy a new one. Hay, ang gastos!

We're not rich, my husband and I are just starting out in life and we try as much as to never ask from our parents. If we do, as in lista yan (except for my dad, "sulat sa tubig!" as per his words, he never wants me to pay back, ayos! hahaha)

Thing is, its a business trip and corporate daw and based on what I've seen so far, Japanese are so fashionable. I think destination is Tokyo so double yikes!

So here's what I plan to wear (at may style concepts pang nalalaman, 4 days lang naman! hehe)

How nice! I have a brown peacoat. Boots nalang ang kulang!

I have similar top in white pero I feel I'll still freeze to death

I like this! But where will I wear it after? Unless I ask the office, pakitodo ang aircon please! hehehe

I have this in Lavender and Khaki so I'm good
Also an option
Ang hirap maging mommy. When I was single, I could buy most of the things that I wanted and needed without the guilt. Now, you have to prioritize wants only needed and only then can you buy stuff that you want. I'm still working on that concept. Mahirap because I can't follow that mantra all the time but at least I get to support my kids first.

I don't ask my husband for money to buy my personal things. We split the bill at the house and for the kids. I don't like not earning my own. So I really do all sorts of things like make accessories, buy and sell online, take on special projects so If I buy things for myself, I get it from there.

Not all of us are born into rich families. My parents are middle wage but they are very supportive and they have provided everything they can when we were growing up. Even if they had extra, they always made sure they still didn't splurge. I wish I can be as thrifty as them, well especially my mom.

Swerte ako, I am my lola's favorite so all my "luho" (not that big of a luho ha) growing up, she was the one who covered. But that's another story. :)

Domo Arigato.

Candid

I decided to make this blog an online diary of everything I want to remember when I get old and one day when my kids go online, they can see who I am from this blog apart from how they know me as their mom.

I am inspired. :)

I hope my day continuous to be a good one.

Baby Kicks

I love shoes. My husband says I have too much but week after week, I feel I still lack some pieces (hehehe).

I was going around the Nike shop in Glorietta looking gym stuff (note to self: need to go back to gym ASAP) when I stumbled upon the cutest shoes / baby kicks ever!

Priced from 1,200 and up

I didn't buy them though because I know FOR SURE, these little kicks will only last a month. Baby feet grow so fast!!! So I'd rather buy my son his first Nike pair when he's one or so probably. That way we can maximize. :)

Twitter Power

Since I changed my line plan from Flex to Fully loaded, I had so many Blackberry service and billing issues. It took a whole 6 months to finally get Globe to fix the issue.

The Blackberry I cannot live without

Cuff it up

I'm mostly into accessories and recently I've been into gold toned hardware.

I particularly love the collection of Angel Wings

Banana nananana

I literally carry loads of stuff in my bag so I'm the kinda girl who carries medium to over-sized bags because i'd rather lug a ton of things than forget something (which makes my day really off).

That said, I'm so happy I came across Chuvaness and she featured these ever adorable bags from Banana Taipei whose importer Heidi of Bagahollic Bags is the nicest and most accommodating seller.
